14-10-2025: Visit - Yorkshire Water Ewden Wastewater Treatment Works Stocksbridge
A group of members enjoyed a trip to the Yorkshire Water Ewden Wastewater Treatment Works at Stocksbridge near Sheffield.
The trip commenced with a journey down the M1, with a brunch break at Riley's The Potting Shed Cafe at Silkstone.
From there we moved on to Ewden Water Treatment Works. Following a short introduction and a site safety talk in the Education Centre, members were then taken on a guided tour of the facilities to see and learn how wastewater is treated before it is discharged into the local river. A very good visit was had by all.
