08-09-2026: Trip - Temple Newsam House Leeds
Burley Men’s Shedders enjoyed an interesting and informative day at Temple Newsam House in Leeds.
On arrival, members were taken on a guided tour of the Tudor–Jacobean house, learning about its 500‑year history and the families who lived there.
After a relaxed lunch in the house café, the group continued with a behind‑the‑scenes tour of the workshops, furniture store, and the extensive cellars.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day for everyone. Our thanks go to our tour guides, Mehdi and Tom, and to Dave from Ilkley Community Transport for getting us there and back safely.
