18-05-2026: Trip - St Georges Hall Bradford
On a lovely sunny May afternoon, Shed members enjoyed an interesting and informative trip to St Georges Hall in Bradford.
Our tour guide Penny, Heritage Learning Officer with Bradford Theatres, gave us an insight into the history of the hall from its grand opening in 1853, up to the present day, following its £10 million renovation which was completed in 2019. She took members on a tour of the building which included the auditorium, stage, and the back of stage area's including the "Stars" Dressing Room.
If you would like to learn more about the Hall's history please visit their website The History & Heritage of St George's Hall, Bradford
Finally we would like to say a big thank Penny and Sophia from Bradford Theatres and to our driver Stuart from Ilkley Community Transport.
