26-03-2026: Trip - Escorted Tour of Skipton Castle
On a sunny but very cold late March day Shedders made their way to Skipton Castle for an escorted tour.
Over 900 years old, Skipton Castle is one of the most complete and best preserved medieval castles in England.
This tour was led by castle tour guide Peter and assisted by Keira who told members about the history of the castle and about the present owners of the castle, the Fattorini Family.
During the two hour tour, members were shown many of the rooms including the Dungeon, Banqueting Room and Kitchen.
An enjoyable day was had by all including lunch at the Castle Cafe.
