03-06-2026: Talk - Greenland - Louise le Marquand
For the Shed's first meeting of June, members enjoyed an entertaining, illustrative and informative talk given by globetrotting Louise le Marquand about a trip to Greenland in 2017.
Louise and her husband Duncan spent four days touring the coastal regions of southern Greenland. They stopped at a number of small coastal settlements, learning about the history of the island, the culture of the people who live their, the types of food they eat and visiting a number of interesting historical sites. Greenland is the world's largest island with a population of only 56,600 which is similar to that of Keighley.

Also at the meeting, we welcomed Keith and Paul, who are Trustees of the newly formed Haworth Men's Shed. They were visiting our Shed as part of Men's Shed Networking. We would like to wish them well in developing their new Shed in Haworth.
