06-05-2026: Talk - History of Railways in the Burley Area
It was standing room only at a packed Bowls Pavilion for the Shed's first meeting in May.
Shedder, Jonathan Duncan, gave an excellent talk about the History of Railways in the Burley Area.
He talked about the development, construction and operations of the railways in the area, which connected passenger train services and freight services between Harrogate, Leeds, Bradford, Skipton and beyond.
With plenty of information from the Burley Archive, illustrations and videos, members and guests enjoyed a very good morning session.
