7-05-2025: Growing Up With The Rocketman Writer
Coming from a chance (in a million!) meeting of fellow rail travellers on Platform 5 at Doncaster, and their subsequent banter on the short journey to Lincoln, it came to pass Tony was minded to tell his story, including anecdotes-a-plenty, to the members gathered in Burley Men's Shed.
The story started when Tony's first brother was born, and would go on to develop in a way nobody could have predicted. The brothers were destined for opposite sides of the Atlantic, becoming accomplished in their own very different ways. From humble beginnings in rural and agricultural Lincolnshire, one keenly followed academic and sporting interests, while the other dreamed of being a cowboy! Destiny was once again decided after another chance in a million meeting!
