20-11-24: Creating The Heritage Way Long Distance Footpath
David Asher (Leader of Burley 'Walkers are Welcome') and Bruce Moore (one of our Members, and official Photographer for the Guide Book) gave us a passionate account of how you they were, as part of the founding team, instrumental in creating this new 42 mile Long Distance Footpath, for the benefit of walkers from all over the country.
The route is recognised as connecting two UNESCO World Heritage sites of Saltaire and Fountains Abbey, and was founded by the Burley Bridge Association and the Ramblers of Lower Wharfedale.
It also connects the two historic Cathedrals of Bradford and Ripon.
