01-04-2026: Petanque & Bowls
The Shed's first meeting in April, members enjoyed playing Petenque and Bowls.
** Petanque - is a form of lawn bowling originating in France, usually played on rough ground using steel balls. Alternatively, for more information try Wikipedia
Grateful thanks to Barbara Greaves, founder, of the Burley Petanque pitch and local group, along with experienced helpers Nick Siddons and two of our own Shedders who are part of the Petanque Group, being Dave Upton and David Steele.
Also a big thanks to Brian Wheeler and Dave from the Bowling Club for entrusting us to use the green and bowls equipment immediately prior to a scheduled league game.
