21-01-2026: Music - A morning of Sea Shanties and laughter with Tom Clegg

On miserable and cold Wednesday morning Tom Clegg a local musician from Burley in Wharfedale entertained shed members with a morning of songs, fun and laughter.

Tom came to the Shed with his trusted guitar and some special Sea Shanty songs for the Shedders to enjoy singing along too. Tom runs a number of successful music groups within the village including a choir and Ukulele group.  

Following Tom's visit he has sent the Shedders the following message .

Thanks for taking part in the sea-shanty singing session the other day. If you’d like to continue singing together, I currently run two friendly, informal choirs:
           Burley choir — Wednesdays at 7pm, Queen’s Hall
           Otley choir — Tuesdays at 1:30pm, Otley Courthouse
