28-10-25: Mental Health & Wellbeing
- DATE FOR YOU DIARY -
TUESDAY 28th October, 6pm - 8.30pm
Salem Church Hall, Burley in Wharfedale
This Men's Health Awareness event will be held in Salem Church Hall in Burley, and is a joint venture between Grange Park Surgery, and Burley Men’s Shed (BMS) together with Wharfedale Men's Shed, Otley (WMS).
The emphasis of the Event is on "Prevention and Early Intervention", by recognising life events, and symptoms or changes which have not been normal for you.
Talks will be given by one of the practice GP's and the Social Prescriber, together with information and perspective from a very experienced presenter who has represented the leading charity MIND.
With each speakers’ detailed knowledge and extensive experience of the subject matter in many different situations, the event should provide some really useful takeaways, and enable those attending to be more aware of what to look out for when considering their own mental health & wellbeing, and others who they may know.
The presenters will invite questions and there will be time set aside for general Q&A.
Useful and informative materials, together with signposting to helpful support will also be available.
Working together, BMS & WMS plan to deliver further Men's Health Awareness events to cover such subjects as Heart, Lungs, and Stroke.
